Brenda and Jason Lortie are the owner operators of North Shore Construction. We specialize in residential remodeling, decks, floors, windows, and doors.

Jason’s interest in carpentry began at an early age through family influence and then evolved throughout his school years.

Having grown up on a farm, Brenda knows what it takes to work hard. Her father was also a contractor and registered new home builder. Brenda would often find herself on site.

It was this connection that led Jason to realize his passion. He worked with his future father-in-law on several homes and renovation jobs and proceeded to find employment in Waterloo doing new home construction. Jason then signed on as a carpentry apprentice to begin his pursuit of a career. This brought him to Kingston to train and continue his employment. His Red Seal licensed carpentry certification further enhanced his skills, providing a comprehensive knowledge of complete home construction.

Jason set out on his own in 2008 to establish North Shore Construction and has since developed purchasing relationships with major suppliers and installation contracts with box stores.

With the success of North Shore Construction, Brenda joined the company full time in 2013 following a career as an ink chemist. Her previous employment provided organizational, managerial and customer service experience.

The personal aspect of working with the public in residential carpentry is ideal for Brenda and Jason as they are committed to customer service. They are also committed to fostering growth in the Trades through apprenticeship programs. The team at North Shore Construction will continue to uphold existing customer relationships and look forward to forming new connections in the years ahead.
